Le Mars had three railroads, including mainlines of the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha (Omaha Road), Illinois Central and Great Northern.
Today, the Omaha is a Union Pacific line, while the IC is owned by Canadian National and the GN by BNSF.
